Personal Attack Alarms are Self Defensive Weapons for All
Ages
It doesn’t matter whether you are a girl or a boy, a man or a woman, or what particular age
you are, personal attack alarms are devices that could save your life.
Available in a variety of forms, most of which are designed to emit a loud ear-piercing noise, personal attack
alarms will enable you to escape from an attacker. They are also so noisy that other people won’t fail to hear, and
hopefully come to your rescue in any kind of situation. Most operate by pulling a pin that needs to be replaced to
stop the noise from continuing. So all you have to do is chuck it away and the noise will carry on.
There is no doubt that certain people are more vulnerable to
attack, including older people, children, women and those who are physically disabled. But everybody should
consider some type of personal alarm system that they can carry around with them when they aren’t at home.
Even the most physically fit people can benefit, including people who cycle and those who run to get exercise.
Imagine if you were running and you were challenged by someone with a knife, a firearm or some other weapon.
It’s unlikely you’d be running with a firearm or even a mini stun gun tucked into your belt. But if you had a personal attack alarm around your neck
you would be able to do trigger it immediately and literally sound the alarm.
Personal attack alarms are designed to help you in the event of an attack. It is as simple
as that. But there are quite a lot of different types to choose from. For example, in addition the sort that you
would take with you if you were running, cycling or walking, there are also those that you can use at home, to
protect door and window openings. There are entry alarms with remote controls, door alarms that are attached to a
mini LED light, and glass guard alarms specifically for window protection.
Then there are a whole lot of different self defense spray products, some of which are sold as part of a personal security alarm
system. Most contain hot pepper spray, but some also have some tear gas that changes the way the spray affects
assailants. Pepper spray is basically an inflammatory agent, while tear gas is a mucous irritant.
When you look at the different personal attack alarms that are available, you need to be sure that it will work
for you. For example, it may be that keychain security appeals to you most of all, because then your safety device
is part of the accessory that you use to keep your vehicle keys. Or you may prefer a personal alarm that fits into
the palm of your hand. What is important is that you are able to keep any type of alarm you are going to rely on
for personal safety, close to you. If you don’t have the alarm close by if someone does attack
you, it won’t be any use at all. More on self defense weapons
